Join us for an interactive workshop that explores the African American tradition of quilt making. Participants will create a quilt square using an applique technique to highlight their own personal hero. On Tuesday evening, February 28, Toby Ricards, Artist-in-Residence at the Birmingham Museum of Art, will be at Springville Road Branch to demonstrate this art and assist patrons in creating their own squares.
