BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Starting with a low F note, the 14-year-old saxophone student focused on his breathing as he began a run.
      The professional stopped him.
"Keep the airflow up," said Euge Groove, a smooth jazz professional with numerous album credits and who used to tour with such rock acts as Tina Turner and Joe Cocker. "Work on keeping the mouthpiece in. Don't close it. Keep it like you're playing that low F and go up."
