    Jazz in the Park®

    Historic Avondale Park amphitheatre is the place to be this summer for the third annual JAZZ IN THE PARK® concert series which will kick off on Independence Day with a new time, 6:00-9:00 p.m. The newly renovated park is located on Fifth Avenue South and 41st Street.

    Historic Avondale Park amphitheatre is the place to be this summer for the third annual JAZZ IN THE PARK® concert series which will kick off on Independence Day with a new time, 6:00-9:00 p.m. The newly renovated park is located on Fifth Avenue South and 41st Street.

    Performances include:

    Shaun Pezant Trio, an excellent jazz musician beyond his calling, will begin the afternoon with an outstanding performance of jazz, R&B, and neo-soul music.

    Fresh for 2012 and beyond is James “PJ” Spraggins’ new release, Pure Logic. From jazz to hip hop, from R&B to gospel, Pure Logic has something for everyone.

    Rounding out the evening will be Atlanta’s top jazz saxophonist, Ryan Whitehead.

    We encourage everyone to bring blankets, coolers, food, small TV trays and votive candles to enjoy the concert. Food vendors are available.

    Absolutely no Grills are allowed while attending Jazz in the Park®. Failure to abide by this rule will be enforced by concert organizer and police.

    Seating: There is ample seating available in Avondale Park amphitheatre.

    Parking is located on streets near the venue. Please secure your vehicle as concert organizers and venue are not responsible for stolen property.

    Smoking: Jazz in the Park® is promoting a smoke-free event this summer. Please be considerate of your non-smoking colleagues.

    CD Sales/Signings: Each artist’s CDs will be on sale at each park. Cash only. Photos with artists are permissible.

    Access: Jazz in the Park® is a free event to the public. Help keep our parks/streets clean by placing all trash in bins. We encourage everyone to bring blankets, coolers, food, small TV trays and votive candles to enjoy the concert. Food vendors are available.
