In 1998, Marjorie White, President of the Birmingham Historical Society, published an insightful pictorial work pertaining to the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights and Birmingham’s role in the Civil Rights Movement. Presentation will focus on key areas of the book, African-American churches, newspaper articles, and other key elements of Birmingham’s role in this historic movement.
