    The Virginia Samford Theatre proudly presents the stage version of To Kill A Mockingbird in conjunction with the City of Birmingham's 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights movement in America. Based on Harper Lee's literary masterpiece and the award-winning film, the story probes honestly but compassionately the great racial rift in American society.  Performances will include the appearance of eight selected...

    The Virginia Samford Theatre proudly presents the stage version of To Kill A Mockingbird in conjunction with the City of Birmingham's 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights movement in America. Based on Harper Lee's literary masterpiece and the award-winning film, the story probes honestly but compassionately the great racial rift in American society.  Performances will include the appearance of eight selected Birmingham law firms whose associates will appear as jurors for each performance. The Opening Night performance on Thursday, September 12 will inlcude the appearance of Mary Badham, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of Scout in the movie.
