Presented by at RMTC Cabaret Theatre

    February 5 - February 8, 2015

The world still needs role models. With recent demonstrations sweeping across our nation the need for people to seek out leaders who challenge us to be better is needed now more than ever. Mandela was one such leader. He lived the spectrum from terrorist to politician to national hero. He didn't just forgive but reconciled with his adversaries. He didn't just forget but continued to challenge injustice everywhere. Renowned playwright Cheryl L. Davis (Barnstormer, MLK Project) and poet Sharrif Simmons collaborate on this original work based on the lives impacted by legendary humanitarian, Nelson Mandela. MANDELA explores the life of a true visionary through spoken word, music and video.

    Rated PG-13

Plan to stay after each night’s performance for an engaging talkback with community leaders on how Mandela’s life can serve as an example of reconciliation and forgiveness.
