To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) will present "The Discussion Lounge: Brown/Black Relations
in Birmingham," which will feature a panel discussion moderated by Michael Innis-Jiménez, PhD, Assistant Professor, Director
of Graduate Studies, Department of American Studies, University of Alabama; and author of Steel Barrio: The Great Mexican
Migration to South Chicago, 1915-1940. The event is free and open to the public.
