Singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton, best known for the 2002 hit “A Thousand Miles,” will release her fifth album, “Liberman,” on Oct. 23. The 10-track record features her husband, Deer Tick frontman John McCauley, on several songs. Her last project was “Blue Pool EP,” which came out in July.
