2015 Induction Ceremony with Concert by Joey Alexander Trio

Celebrate at the historic Carver Theatre as the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame honors its newest members in the 2015 Induction Ceremony featuring a concert by the 12-year-old, jazz piano virtuoso Joey Alexander, who will play with his trio. 

The night’s festivities start at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail & hors d’oeuvres reception in the museum, followed by the ceremony at 7 p.m. in the theatre, and closes with the Joey Alexander Trio in concert. 

Praised by legends Herbie Hancock and Wynton Marsalis, Joey Alexander has been embraced by the jazz community not only for his precocious skill, but his intuitive performance finesse. He most recently performed to sold-out crowds at the Newport Jazz Festival.
