Backyard Bird Count

Join Oak Mountain State Park and the Alabama Wildlife Center as we count birds as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count.

10:15 – How to Id Birds and Overview

10:45 to 11:15 – Count Birds (Choose 1 of 3 locations)

11:30 – Collect data from everyone and Bird Program

Refreshments and Craft after the program

All of this happens at the Wildlife Center.

Park Admission:

$5 per Adult (age 12+)
$2 per Child (age 4 to 11)
$2 per Senior (age 62+)
Free for ages 3 & under
