Curator Don Wood introduces us to this special exhibition of Uzbekistan Ikat robes and accessories from the collection of Peggy Slappey, opening a window into a culture and tradition that is not often seen in the West. A cooperative effort between people of different religions and backgrounds, the production of an Ikat textile is a complex process that takes many skilled hands.
