Birmingham Heart Walk

Research shows helping people get to the age of 50, with no cardiovascular risk factors, can lower heart disease and stroke to as little as 5-8% as well as extend life-span and enhance the quality of life. More than an event, the Heart Walk is an experience and celebration with activities and resources aimed at helping participants take the next step in improving their heart health. It promotes the health benefits of increased physical activity in a fun family environment, brings communities together to celebrate the progress in the fight against cardiovascular diseases and stroke, our nations #1 and #4 killers, and raises vital funds to support the AHA’s life-saving mission
