OLLI of Greater Birmingham presents the History of Iran with instructors Brian Motii, Allen Shabani, and Michael Shabani, Iran natives before coming to America. Learn the early history of the Persian Empire, the revolution, present-day Iran and the changes that occured after the revolution as well as Persian literature, poets, hilidays, festivals, foods, customes, and King Cyrus the Great.

First attendance free. If you decide to join OLLI there is a small annual membership fee and minimum semester course fee. One semester fee covers over 40 classes/events a semester.
