Caring for Caregivers

The 7th annual “Caring for Caregivers” event is September 8th from 9:00 a.m.-noon. Family caregivers can come and interact with their local legislators to peacefully advocate for more attention for respite services and funding. The event is hosted by the Sharing the Care of Jefferson and Shelby Counties which is a project of the Alabama Lifespan Respite Resource Network. 

There will be three main speakers including Representative April Weaver, Attorney Robert Cornelius, and Mrs. Laura Fiveash who will share information and stories that will guide and uplift family caregivers. Brunch and door prizes are generously provided by the vendor agencies that will be at the event to answer questions are provide information.
