UAB Music presents a Russian/American faculty recital, featuring soprano Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk and pianist Yakov Kasman. 7 p.m., UAB’s Alys Stephens Center, Reynolds-Kirschbaum Recital Hall. On the program are works by Barber, Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff and a world premiere of a new song cycle by Lori Laitman, with guest artist Denise Gainey, clarinet. Free.
