BBQ for Building

BBQ for Building is an amateur food competition and festival benefiting Habitat Birmingham’s housing ministry. Event proceeds help to build and sale a house in partnership with a family in need of quality, affordable housing. Food, beverage, live music, face painting, clowns, moon bounce and Home Depot kid’s workshop included in ticket purchase.

Join us Saturday, April 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for family fun, community involvement, and great food. Cooking teams prepare their favorite dishes to share with event attendees ranging from barbeque, sausage, chicken, and hamburgers to stew, chili, soups, and desserts. Ticket purchasers are eligible to vote for their favorite dish. Top scoring teams in each category (determined by People’s Choice voting) receive a cash prize. 2nd place winners in each category receive a trophy. Winners announced at 2:30 p.m.
