Life In Iraq Before & After Saddam Hussein

OLLI of Greater Birmingham and Homewood Library presents Life in Iraq Before and After Saddam Hussein, with presenters Hend Kendela and Sameer Youman, who fled Iraq after life there changed drastically. Hend and Sam are a couple who fled and are now living in the Greater Birmingham area. They will share their story: what it was like in Iraq before and after Hussein’s reign; how it changed and why they left; and how they have adapted to life in American and why they chose this area.
