Tragic City Rollers

The Tragic City Rollers are one of the 400 all woman (skater-owned and operated) roller derby leagues worldwide at the heart of the movement to revive roller derby.

Founded in December of 2005, the Tragic City Rollers are a full-contact, strategic, entertaining and competitive sport. TCR is made up of women across different social backgrounds and anyone can try out derby during our open recruitments. Our members are mothers, students, teachers, police women, career technocrats, librarians, baristas, nurses, engineers and everything in between. Not only do we strive to promote camaraderie and fairness in standards and sportsmanship, we support local community-based charities and businesses, like First Light, Children’s Harbor, the  A. Skate Foundation, the Lakeshore Foundation, Rape Response, Race for the Cure and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
