Birmingham CROP Walk

Birmingham CROP Walk supports Church World Service, a cooperative ministry of 35 Protestant, Anglican, and Orthodox denominations, works in 80 countries supporting relief efforts such as refugees in Darfur, floods in Bangladesh, famine victims in Niger, Tsunami victims in Indonesia, and schools, health clinics, agricultural assistance in the worlds poorest communities. Local organizers and sponsors of the walk include Independent Presbyterian Church, Baptist Church of the Covenant, Southside Baptist Church, Highlands United Methodist Church, Birmingham-Southern College, The ONE Campaign as well as local schools and businesses. Over 500 walkers are expected for this 7th annual event.
