The Animal League of Birmingham

The Animal League of Birmingham is a 501(c)(3) organization raising funds for non-profit rescues and shelters in Birmingham and the surrounding area who support the health, welfare, and general well being of animals in need. This organization was started by a group of women from diverse backgrounds who had a strong desire and a common goal to improve the quality of life for animals in need. The primary goal is to raise funds through annual events such as Mardi Paws, Paws for the Cause 5K Run and Fun Walk, Bark after Dark and many other fund raising efforts.
