UAB MHRC

The UAB Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC) is a comprehensive research, training, and outreach center with a mission to eliminate the health disparities experienced by racial and ethnic minorities locally, regionally, and nationally. We work toward this goal in partnership with academic schools and centers, historically black colleges and universities, policy makers, government agencies, community organizations, and grassroots groups. The MHRC has over 200 faculty members representing all UAB schools. Such wide and diverse support helps us provide an extensive infrastructure for interdisciplinary research, training, and outreach for reducing and eventually eliminating racial/ethnic health disparities.
