    Premier Partners

    The Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau is an online resource for things to see, places to stay, and ways that the GBCVB may help. Birmingham is not just a tourist destination for the southeast region. This city is quickly being recognized as a regional hotspot.



    Media Partners


    Public Radio WBHM 90.3 FM, a listener-supported service of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, is “Your NPR News Station” and home to the Alabama Radio Reading Service, a resource for the blind and print-impaired. WBHM programming and award-winning regional journalism also can be heard in North Central Alabama on WSGN 91.5 FM through a partnership with Gadsden State Community College.     Alabama Baby & Child Magazine is a community of resources for new, expectant, and hopeful parents. They connect growing families to local resources and to each other through Alabama Baby & Child magazine, Babypalooza, the Parent's Choice Awards, the Welcome Baby Kit and so much more.


    B-Metro Magazine is a monthly city and lifestyle magazine based in Birmingham, AL. It is a media vehicle for the city that combines the best of upscale print magazines and online media by creating a symbiotic relationship between the magazine and the online community, utilizing the web to involve the reader in the magazine’s content. Fergus Media is a publisher of print, custom, and digital media. Its focus is on creating high-quality products that tell great stories. The company publishes B-Metro Magazine, which reflects the best of the city through fascinating stories about the region’s most interesting people.


    The Birmingham Times newspaper was founded in 1964. Since the first issue The Times has been in continuous circulation for more than 50 years. Their mission is to bring interesting and relevant information to the community, as well as serve the needs of our clients. The Times positions themselves as the documenters of African-American news/history in Birmingham, Alabama. Although some readers are outside of Birmingham’s city limits their news spotlights local activities and issues.


    Happenin's in the 'Ham was founded in 2015 by Amber and Russell Hooks as a way to promote Birmingham's renaissance. They love promoting all things Birmingham with an emphasis on all the wonderful free and low cost activities that the city has to offer. You've probably seen them ZYP biking around town, hanging out at Railroad Park, or at one of Birmingham's great music, food, or film festivals.


    Established in May 2011, Weld is the premier source for news and entertainment in the Greater Birmingham area — whether you want to know what’s happening at City Hall or where you should eat on a Saturday night. The weekly newspaper is published every Wednesday and is available (for free) at more than 400 locations in the metro area, while is home to extensive events calendars and numerous niche blogs covering news and politics, arts and culture and community engagement. The name is a nod to Birmingham’s industrial history, but also expresses the company’s philosophical mission — to help bring together a city and region where fragmentation has long impeded economic and social vitality and progress.
