Our Partners & Donors
Partnering with leaders in our community is central to the success of the Birmingham365.org calendar network.
Below is a list of the partners that are helping us present the full array of creative, cultural, educational, community and leisure activities that our region offers – increasing visibility for everyone while giving our residents more options and our visitors more reasons to stay longer and come back frequently.
The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, established as a public charity in 1959, leverages gifts and bequests from many people to drive positive change. We bring people together from all walks of life to address community issues, build on opportunities and achieve measurable results. We work in partnership with others, including area nonprofits, to improve the life of our region.

Offering more than 110 daily flights to over 36 cities throughout the United States, Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) presently ranks in the country's top 75 airports in terms of passengers served annually. BHM served over 2.8 million passengers in 2012.
The largest city in Alabama, Birmingham City is a thriving city. From its founding through the end of the 1960s, Birmingham was a primary industrial center of the South. The pace of Birmingham's growth during the period from 1881 through 1920 earned its nicknames The Magic City. The City Council of Birmingham supports us by promoting the vast arts and cultural opportunities that are a vital part of life - both in our history and in today's vibrant, growing city. "UNITED for the Good of the City" is more than a slogan - it is a set of values that are an active part of our healthy community climate. Today, Birmingham is experiencing a rebirt, and once again, it is proving itself to be quite The Magic City.
Samford University is Alabama’s top-ranked private university and provides nationally-recognized academic programs rooted in its historic Christian mission. U.S. News & World Report ranks Samford 3rd among regional universities in the South, and the university is widely acknowledged as a leader in liberal arts and professional school education. Founded in 1841 and located in suburban Birmingham, Samford is the 87th oldest institution of higher learning in the U.S. and enrolls 4,800 students from 44 states and 22 countries in its 10 academic units: arts, arts and sciences, business, divinity, education, health professions, law, nursing, pharmacy and public health. Samford also fields 17 NCAA Division I teams that compete in the tradition-rich Southern Conference.

Established in May 2011, Weld is the premier source for news and entertainment in the Greater Birmingham area — whether you want to know what’s happening at City Hall or where you should eat on a Saturday night. The weekly newspaper is published every Wednesday and is available — free — at more than 400 locations in the metro area, while WeldBham.com is home to extensive events calendars and numerous niche blogs covering news and politics, arts and culture and community engagement. The name is a nod to Birmingham’s industrial history, but also expresses the company’s philosophical mission — to help bring together a city and region where fragmentation has long impeded economic and social vitality and progress.
