Art as Activism workshop, with Daniel Grier of "Splashed by DKG"

The Art as Activism workshop encourages you to bring an item such as a denim jacket, shirt, or jeans of your liking to “Splash” during this event. As you enjoy a glass of wine the artist will guide you in painting empowering mantras and statements into your garment and showcase how art, specifically fashion, has the power to advocate for causes and issues we are passionate about without us having to say a word.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Daniel Grier is the artist and founder of Splashed by DKG, a bold, luxury streetwear brand known for its statement prints and custom designs. Daniel also serves as co-founder and creative director of Magic City Fashion Week and is the father of an amazing twelve-year-old son named Aedan.
