This event will consist of more than 15 historians, thought leaders, business owners, health professionals, and community members who will share their knowledge and memories on the rich human tapestry that built and sustains us.
We are gathering across the metro area to record conversations about Birmingham’s historic past; and, discuss how it impacts present issues. Our community was built with hard work, sacrifice, and a diversity of people. Where did our ancestors come from? How did they live, work, build businesses, interact among races, organize, serve? Yes, WHO ARE WE? Has the issue of race helped or hindered us? How do we move forward for growth and prosperity?
