Each year Cahaba River Society hosts a catfish cooking contest and festival that’s not only good for the planet, but also the palate.

Each year the Cahaba River Society hosts an event that’s not only good for the planet, but also the palate! This event has become another staple in Birmingham’s dynamic food scene as culinary masters, old and new, battle it out for the top catfish cooking prizes.

 This fundraiser supports Cahaba River Society’s work to protect and restore the Cahaba River (Alabama’s longest remaining free flowing river and the drinking water source for the Greater Birmingham area), the Cahaba watershed,
