Chimney Swift Love

Birmingham Audubon will partner with Paperworkers Local for a public event called “Chimney Swift Love” on Thursday, February 14th, 5 to 8 p.m. at Paperworkers Local studio and gallery space (2717 Seventh Ave South, Suite 203).

Hearts will be beating swiftly at this unique Valentine’s Day event, benefiting Birmingham Audubon and Paperworkers Local. Come enjoy an evening filled with bird-centric art and conversation while supporting birds and local artists.

The event admission is $5, payable at the registration link at birminghamaudubon.org/SwiftLove or at the door. Registration is encouraged for planning purposes. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided. Guests will have an opportunity to pull their own special edition print of a beautiful piece of Chimney Swift art from a hand-sketched copper plate, created by Paperworkers Local member and artist Linda Merry for a requested donation of $35. Prints may be pre-ordered through Paperworkers Local at the PayPal link on the Birmingham Audubon event page. Other Chimney Swift art by local artists will also be available for a requested donation.

Paperworkers Local is located at 2717 Seventh Ave. South, Suite 203, Birmingham, AL 35233. Paperworkers Local is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit artists’ co-operative actively working to promote the understanding and appreciation of art as well as to create opportunities for artists in and near Birmingham. While they are also a membership organization, they frequently offer workshops to the public and also host numerous exhibitions by their talented, local artists.
