Choral Eucharist for Ascension Day

The Cathedral Choir sings the traditional Anglican service of sung Holy Communion at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in celebration of the Feast of the Ascension. The service, held each year on the Feast of the Ascension, will feature readings, hymns, and anthems in celebration of the Ascension of Christ into Heaven, and will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. The choir will sing choral settings of the portion of the liturgy known as the “Ordinary”, which includes the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei. The Cathedral Choir is under the direction of Frederick Teardo, Director of Music and Organist, along with Charles Kennedy, Associate Director of Music and Organist.
