OLLI of Greater Birmingham presents Early Buddhist Art in India with instructor Angie May, Assistant Curator of Education, Birmingham Museum of Art. The earliest phase of Buddhist art in India is referred to as aniconic; meaning there a little to no figural representations of the Buddha until around the 1st century CE.
