Endangered Animal Art Show

Artist Russ Ronat is showing his latest artwork, Project Holocene, in the Birmingham Zoo’s Predator Building. This is a series of mixed media drawings of endangered and vulnerable animals. These large drawings bring attention to the rising issues of deforestation, illegal wildlife trade and the other threats that these species face. Zoo admission charged.

Regular Zoo hours: 9am to 5pm Daily

  • On May 12, the Zoo will close at 3pm and reopen for Magic City Wine Fest
  • On May 18, the Children’s Zoo will close at 4pm
  • On May 18, Nourish 205 will close at 4pm
