First Day Hike

Samford University’s Oak Mountain Interpretive Center is hosting a First Day Hike for the park this year!

Celebrate the New Year by enjoying a guided hike on one of the beautiful trails located in Oak Mountain State Park with friends and family! Meet us at the North Trailhead for the hike which will explore Maggie’s Glen Loop. The trail is rated moderate and consists of a 2.1 mile loop! This hike is going to be led by David Frings, the Director of the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center.

ADMISSION INFO

We will meet at the North Trailhead for a 9:00 AM departure (plan to arrive early if you are not familliar with the park). The hike is free with normal park admission.

Open to Everyone, All Ages Welcome, Pets Welcome (must remain on a leash). make sure you bring enough water and are dressed adequately for the weather! This is a rain or shine event.
