First Day Pre-sunrise Hike to Kings Chair

Be the first to watch the sun rise on the first day of 2019!! Considered one of the most scenic places in Birmingham! Join OMSP’s Naturalist on this awesome hike! We will meet at 5:00am on Tuesday, January 1st, 2019 at the North Trail Head! After a quick introduction we will head up the mountain at 5:20am.This will give everyone time to arrive and prepare before we begin. Sunrise is expected around 6:50am! Park Admission: $5 per Adult (age 12+)

The hike is free with park admission. Please dress appropriately for the weather!
Not stroller friendly! Please leave dogs at home for this hike!
This is considered an Advanced Level hike with rough terrain and steep parts of the trail!
