We are planning a very special hike at the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center during the month of December! We have done several pre-sunrise hikes to Kings Chair in the past but never one that coincides with the full moon. That will change on December 23rd! We are planning to host a hike that morning that will depart from the North Trailhead parking lot at 5:00 AM for a sunrise at 6:48 AM. We will enjoy the glow of the full moon on our way up the mountain.
ADMISSION INFO
Park Admission: $5 per Adult (age 12+)
The hike is free with park admission. Dress for the weather, bring two flashlights, water, and snack. No children under 12 please and no dogs due to safety concerns for a group hiking at night. We hope to see you on Sunday, December 23rd. You must enter through the parks front gate! The back gate near 280 is not open that time of day.
