Hongnian Zhang: Stories of Life

Born in China and trained at the highly selective Central Art Academy, Hongnian was forced into hard labor as part of the “Re-education” movement during the Cultural Revolution. He later joined the Beijing Fine Art Academy and eventually moved to New York in 1985 where his work was displayed at Grand Central Art Galleries. “Stories of Life” is a collection of paintings inspired by Hongnian’s journey through life and demonstrates his supreme talent as a fine art painter.
