In this two part workshop students will learn about the qualities of metal and the tools needed to make beautiful wearable art from experienced jewelry artist Carrington Wilson!
Part 1 is an introduction to basic metal working tools: pliers, hammers, and shears. Using those simple tools students will make french ear wires, wire-wrap beads and cuff bracelets.
In part 2 students will push into more advanced metal techniques. Adding a vise, torch, and drill students will learn how to fold and shape metal. This section includes an intro to stamping, riveting, patinas, painting metal with heat, sewing beads, and lashing.
