Long Pose Figure Drawing with David Baird

This workshop will focus on developing a figure drawing over the course of the day, beginning with a linear lay-in to establish the major masses of the body and progressing into the use of tone to create a sense of volume and subtle chiaroscuro.

Working from a live model, the class session will consist of a lecture/demonstration as well as one-on-one critiques while students develop their own drawings.  Topics covered will include gesture, proportion, perspective, as well as concepts regarding light, shadow and form.
