Natyananda School of Indian Dance Presents: “GURU VANDANA”

Founded in 1978 by Sheila Rubin, Natyananda teaches the Indian classical dance form Bharata Natyam and performs both traditional and original choreography across Alabama and the USA.

Using innovative performance techniques, the company presents this ancient and exquisite dance form in a manner accessible to audiences unfamiliar with Asian art and culture.

“GURU VANDANA” -A Tribute to the Guru” is a dedication by the students of Natyananda to their beloved Guru, Ms. Sheila Rubin. It features a spectacular presentation of the gems of Natyananda over the years and a stunning new dance drama, Bala Ramayana.
