Over The Mountain Festival of Sacred Music

Begun in 2008 as an idea of a small group of individuals who believe in the importance and value of sacred choral music to singers and the community, OTM Festivals was brought to fruition by the work of an all-volunteer planning committee along with support of friends and sponsors.

For the 2019–20 season we welcome Dr. Melinda Doyle, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Montevallo as our guest clinician. We will be accompanied once again by Karen Payne Krekelburg, Associate Director of Music and Arts and Organist at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. The 2020 répertoire will feature Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C major, plus six additional outstanding pieces. And of course, everyone will have the opportunity to sing two or three hymn arrangements with the orchestra.
