
This talk will focus on the emotional impact and significance of writing these letters and how they helped her cope with the personal challenges and the legacy of her sister’s untimely death.
This program explores the cathartic power of writing and how Lisa McNair used it as a means to connect with her sister, Denise McNair who was the youngest of four Black girls killed during the 16th Street Church bombings of September 15, as a way to connect with her sister and navigate her own experiences. Following the program McNair will do a book signing of her book, Dear Denise.
