Power of Words – Dear Denise

This program explores the cathartic power of writing and how Lisa McNair used it as a means to connect with her sister, Denise McNair who was the youngest of four Black girls killed during the 16th Street Church bombings of September 15, as a way to connect with her sister and navigate her own experiences. Following the program McNair will do a book signing of her book, Dear Denise.

Reinvigorated for the 2023-2024 season, Art & Conversation gathers art enthusiasts in a relaxed environment to explore diverse art-related topics. These thought-provoking sessions are now held every other month on select Wednesdays at 10:30am and allow for a deeper dive into the world of art beyond our collections and exhibitions. Join us before each talk at 10am in our Main Lobby to enjoy coffee and light snacks courtesy of Dryft Coffee, our partners who share our passion for community and tradition.
