ROSS BRIDGE WINE WEEKEND PLANNED FOR MAY 15 – 17; BENEFITS PEDIATRIC CANCER CHARITY
Scott Jones, one of the South's top culinary and wine experts, will be hosting a Wine Weekend at Ross Bridge, May 15 – 17 at Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa n Hoover. The Ross Bridge Wine Weekend will feature a variety of meals and a fun, informative wine education class hosted by the former Executive Editor of Southern Living magazine. The Ross Bridge Wine Weekend is ideal for resort guests but is also open to the general public on a per event basis. The Ross Bridge Wine Weekend will benefit the Hope For Autumn Foundation, a local charity which raises money for individuals and families dealing with pediatric cancer.

· 11 a.m. – No-Snobbery wine education class by Scott Jones ($35 per person) The class will feature four wine tastings – two white wines and two red wines selected by Jones. At the end of the session , the weekend's signature cocktail, Tinto de Verano, will be served and segue into lunch.
· Lunch will held from12:30 until 2:30 p.m. on the main Terrace ($55 per person). To start the event servers will be passing Tinto de Verano, Bellinis, and a signature Sangria along with various tapas. The menu will include various stations with a wine paired with each station. The complete menu is listed below. Jones will speak about each wine and the Ross Bridge chefs will share insights from each of the food stations.
Ross Bridge Wine Weekend Lunch Serving Stations:
Salads: Chopped Salad, Potato Salad and Coleslaw
Fish Fry: Scallops, Shrimp, Softshell Crab Hushpuppies, Green Beans, Fennel and Onion. Lemon, Remoulade, Aioli, Marinara and Cocktail Sauces
Smoker: Ribs, Chicken and Pulled pork Butt. Smokey B’s, Tangy White and Coca-Cola Barbecue sauces
Grill: Cox Farm Steaks, Grouper Fillet, and Oysters
Sides: Country Style Green Beans, Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, Collard Greens, Macaroni and Cheese and Fire Cracker Potatoes
Desserts: Key Lime Pie, French Silk Pie, Strawberry Cobbler, Oreo Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cake
