Sacred Harp Singing Reception for Sacred Sounds of Alabama Exhibit

There will be Sacred Harp singing reception for the Sacred Sounds of Alabama exhibit at the Central Library’s Fourth Floor Gallery.

Produced in 2014, this exhibit presents Alabama’s sacred music traditions. Panels display historical photographs and contemporary documentation by folklorists working within the state. Together they demonstrate the profound and diverse heritage of these rich genres of music that have been passed down from one generation to the next. The exhibit will be on display June 11–July 22, 2019, in the Central Library Fourth Floor Gallery
