Untreated, even unnoticed, spiritual abuse is evidenced in the deep spiritual wounds which our clients bring to us for help and healing. But since they don’t know the source of this woundedness and we do not know how to explore or treat this woundedness—it often goes untreated. Yet this wound is often the central premise of all of their dysfunctional patterns. This workshop is meant to help us recognize and treat spiritual woundedness that results from spiritual abuse.
OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Define spiritual abuse in its various forms.
- Define spiritual woundedness in its various forms.
- Define identity as it relates to spiritual woundedness.
- Understand and be able to utilize several interventions to facilitate healing for spiritual abuse and its wounds.
