The March Quilts Exhibition is opening at Birmingham’s Central Public Library.
We have a summer full of programs scheduled for this exhibition. For those who participated in TMQ8: A(MEND), both quilts from 2022 will be unveiled on May 6. The exhibition will be available to the public whenever the library is open. If you stop by, please tag your visit with #themarchquiltsproject.
ADMISSION INFO
We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming March Quilts Exhibition, which will showcase all 15 quilts from eight years of the project. This will also be the first presentation of both quilts from TMQ8 (2022) and they will be unveiled at the opening reception. While an RSVP is not required to attend any of these programs, it helps us know what to expect. If you have any questions, please send them to Lillis.

May 6 (Saturday) 1-3PM: Opening reception, unveiling of TMQ8 quilts
May 9 (Tuesday) 4-4:30PM: Artist talk with co-founders Ms. Annie and Lillis
May 20 (Saturday) 10-12PM: Oral History listening party with Miriam. We encourage and recommend you to bring headphones along with a smart phone. If you do not have headphones, you will have the option of utilizing our listening station (laptop + headphones)
June 3 (Saturday) 1-4PM: Love Conquers All viewing party + sewing session, Create205 Lab. All materials will be provided
June 13 (Tuesday) 4-4:30PM: Artist talk with co-founders Ms. Annie and Lillis
June 17 (Saturday) 1-4PM: Juneteenth celebration + sewing session, Create205 Lab. All materials will be provided
July 8 (Saturday) 1-3PM: Closing reception
