Samford University’s Orlean Beeson School of Education is proud to present The New York Times bestselling author of The Sun Does Shine, How I Found Freedom on Death Row Anthony Ray Hinton, as the 2019 Tom and Marla Corts Distinguished Author.

Through the vision of Tom and Marla Corts, and provided by their generosity of spirit, Samford is proud to present Anthony Ray Hinton, as the 2019 Tom and Marla Corts Distinguished Author. Mr. Hinton will speak about his personal memoir The Sun Does Shine, How I Found Freedom on Death Row.

General admission tickets are available for $10 and include a book signing following the event.

VIP Tickets are also available for $50 and include a reception at 6 p.m. with Hinton, a signed copy of The Sun Does Shine and reserved seating.
