Watercolor Journaling with Karen Weir

Come learn with Karen Weir, well-known watercolorist and artist, on how to create your own “Artistic Journal”. All levels of experience are welcome. This workshop is designed to include beginners, who will learn to “see” basic forms and create light sketches in their journals to accompany their words. For experienced drawers, it will be an excellent review, as well as a chance to learn new ideas for creating an artistic journal to use as a memory book of trips, or a way to document creative ideas for future use. Karen will give hints on journaling in general, and teach drawing, proportion, perspective, and other helpful tips on how to achieve the impression needed to add delight to your journal. Also, watercolor techniques will be taught on how to “splash” on beautiful colors!

This class is appropriate for beginner to advanced painters. Covers the basic techniques of the medium and offers individual assistance. No prior experience is required.
