Djembe class is much more than what it seems. It’s more like a family, even if you are taking only one 6 week class. Class is made up of people from all walks of life who have a desire to learn in a friendly, supportive, and non judgmental environment.
Students learn the rhythms from Guinea, West Africa and it’s surrounding countries. John has been a student of Grand Master, Mamady Keita.

(Djembefola is the Malinké word for “djembe player”. It literally means “one who plays the djembe.”)John’s djembe class is a direct reflection of the teachings and spirit of the djembe as taught by Mamady Keita and the senior professors of Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy.
