Alabama Disability Advocacy Network

AL DAN is a statewide, non-partisan, cross-disability organization that provides opportunities for individuals to effectively advocate for change and to help those with disabilities become fully integrated into the community. AL DAN began as a grassroots movement intended to serve as the umbrella advocacy organization for disability issues connecting individuals, family, friends, and others across Alabama. AL DAN is funded by the Alabama Council of Developmental Disabilities and sponsored by Independent Living Resources of Greater Birmingham, Inc. AL DAN is led by an elected advisory board of people with disabilities. With a united voice, more can be accomplished.
