The Alabama Folklife Association (AFA) is a nonprofit partner program of the Alabama State Council on the Arts (ASCA). The AFA documents, preserves, and promotes the folk and traditional arts of Alabama through research projects, workshops, events, and public programs for all ages. In collaboration with ASCA and the Alabama Department of Archives and History, the AFA helped create and fund the Archive of Alabama Folk Culture in Montgomery.
