After many years working in top kitchens across the United States, Chef James Boyce and his wife, Suzan, launched Boyce Restaurant Concepts in Huntsville, Ala. Boyce Restaurant Concepts consists of three restaurants in Huntsville; Cotton Row, Pane e Vino Pizzeria and Commerce Kitchen. Ranging from fine American cuisine with strong Southern influences to rustic Italian fare, Chef Boyce takes an innovative approach to all of the dishes he creates. In the fall of 2014, Boyce expanded outside of Huntsville to Birmingham, Ala. and rebranded what was once The Merritt House, an elegant home with expansive porches that graced Highland Avenue in the early 20th century, into Galley & Garden, Birmingham’s newest destination for modern American-French cuisine with Southern influences. Today, both the cuisine and atmosphere of Galley & Garden highlight the juxtaposition of Southern touches from the past and present.
