The Mission of The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation is threefold: offering hope through research for early detection of ovarian cancer, empowering communities through gynecologic cancer awareness, and enriching lives through support. By focusing on early detection – We have the chance to fight it, to beat it, to live!

Our organization is multi-faceted with its primary purpose of finding an early detection diagnostic test. Early detection leads to early treatment and better outcomes. One in 73 women will face ovarian cancer in their lifetime. Current statistics reveal that nearly 22,000 cases were diagnosed this year alone, and over 14,000 women died from this silent killer. Ovarian cancer is the ninth most common cancer among women, excluding non-malanoma skin cancers. It ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women, accounting for more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation strives to improve those odds and offer hope and support to all women and those who love them. As the Foundation grows, we vow to reach out to our community through awareness, education and support. Keeping you informed on the most recent news and research will provide hope and direction to those facing the day to day battle against this disease.
