Birmingham’s nonprofit makerspace

Purpose: To engage in scientific and artistic research, experimentation, and education. We provide work & meeting spaces for members, a collaborative and supportive community, and other resources for projects related to technology and artistic expression. We develop and support the development of free and open source software and hardware.

Our new 8,000 square foot facility at Hardware Park features:

• Classes on a wide variety of topics

• Woodworking and woodturning in a well equipped shop

• Metalworking, including forging, casting, machining, and welding

• 3D printers and laser cutter

• Electronics and circuits lab

• Sewing and serging machines, weaving equipment, and sewing library

• Bio Lab (planned)

• Meeting space and classroom

• Studio space

• Opportunities for collaboration

Red Mountain Makers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible.
